Kern County Cancer Foundation and Links for Life Strengthen Partnership to Support Local Cancer Patients

Bakersfield, CA — The Kern County Cancer Foundation (KCCF) recently welcomed staff from Links for Life for a collaborative meeting focused on strengthening community partnerships and expanding awareness of resources available to local cancer patients.

During the meeting, KCCF invited the Links for Life team to learn more about the foundation’s Patient Navigator Program and the wide range of services and support opportunities KCCF provides for individuals and families facing cancer in Kern County. The Patient Navigator Program helps guide patients through the complexities of cancer care, connecting them with resources, support services, and financial assistance when needed.

Meetings with community partners such as Links for Life play an important role in ensuring organizations across the region are informed about available programs and understand how KCCF can assist the patients they serve. By sharing information and building strong relationships, both organizations can better coordinate support and improve access to critical services for those affected by cancer.

“KCCF values opportunities to connect with community partners,” said Montce Flores, Patient Financial Navigator from the foundation. “When organizations work together and understand the resources available, we can ensure cancer patients receive the support they need throughout their journey.”

The collaboration between Kern County Cancer Foundation and Links for Life reflects a shared commitment to serving the community and ensuring that no cancer patient in Kern County faces their diagnosis alone.
