Kern County Cancer Foundation Receives Donation from Pink Patch Project

Bakersfield, CA – The Kern County Cancer Foundation is honored to announce it has received a generous $6,000 donation from the Bakersfield Police Department through its annual Pink Patch Project.

This contribution will directly support local cancer patients who are facing financial hardships during their treatment.

The Pink Patch Project is a community initiative that raises awareness and funds for breast cancer and other cancer-related causes.

Bakersfield Police Department officers wear specially designed pink patches during the campaign, with proceeds benefiting local organizations dedicated to cancer support.

“We are deeply grateful to the Bakersfield Police Department for their generosity and commitment to our community,” said Alissa Turner of the Kern County Cancer Foundation. “This gift will help provide essential financial assistance to cancer patients in Kern County, easing the burden so they can focus on healing.”

The Kern County Cancer Foundation works year-round to offer funds for medical expenses, transportation, nutritional food, and other critical needs for patients undergoing cancer treatment. Donations like this make a tangible difference in the lives of local families.
