Pink Bag Event promoting breast cancer awareness

Bakersfield, CA – Valley Plaza Mall, in partnership with the United Breast Cancer Foundation and Kern County Cancer Foundation, proudly hosted the Pink Bag event to launch Breast Cancer Awareness for the month of October. The event brought together the community in a powerful celebration of strength, hope, and survivorship.

Approximately 150 breast cancer survivors registered and joined the celebration, creating an inspiring atmosphere filled with resilience and unity. Survivors had the opportunity to share their personal journeys, support one another, and connect with a community that understands their experiences.

Each survivor received a specially curated Pink Bag gift, generously sponsored by local and national companies, and filled with thoughtful goodies. Guests also enjoyed an afternoon of sweet treats, snacks, drinks, and lively vendor booths, along with dancing and a fun photo booth experience to capture the day’s memories.

“This event was such a heartwarming experience,” organizers shared. “Seeing these incredible survivors come together to celebrate their strength and support others on their journey truly embodies the spirit of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.”

Valley Plaza Mall, along with the United Breast Cancer Foundation and Kern County Cancer Foundation, extends heartfelt thanks to the many volunteers, vendors, and sponsors whose contributions made this event possible.
