Bakersfield Condors Blackout Cancer Game Unites Community for Pediatric Cancer Patients

The Bakersfield Condors’ annual Blackout Cancer game was an unforgettable evening of community, compassion, and generosity.

With a near sellout crowd, fans rallied behind their favorite hockey team while making a significant impact on the lives of local pediatric cancer patients.

During the event, Michelle Avila, Executive Director of the Kern County Cancer Foundation (KCCF), proudly accepted a donation raised through ticket sales and fundraising efforts.

These funds will provide critical financial support to children battling cancer and their families, helping cover medical expenses and essential needs.

The night ended on a heartwarming note as 10 Condors players auctioned their game-worn jerseys to directly benefit 10 pediatric cancer patients facing financial hardship.

This incredible act of generosity further emphasized the power of sports in bringing a community together for a cause that truly matters.

A huge thank you to the Bakersfield Condors, their players, and the entire community for their unwavering support!

The Kern County Cancer Foundation is grateful for this partnership and for everyone who contributed to making a difference in the lives of young cancer warriors.
