On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, the Kern County Cancer Foundation is inviting the community to donate to benefit local cancer patients on “Giving Tuesday”.
Donations can be made online at www.kerncountycancerfoundation.org or in person at the Comprehensive Blood and Cancer Center. Those making a minimum $20 donation will receive a commemorative ornament. The ornament features medal bells with a red ribbon and donors have an option of choosing either one designated for “Survivors” or another “In Memory of a loved one”.
There is a place on the ornament to personalize with a picture. Ornaments can be picked up at the Comprehensive Blood and Cancer Center, 6501 Truxtun Ave. Bakersfield, CA 93309 from 9am-2pm on Giving Tuesday (12/3/24) or you can call to make other arrangements. See additional dates and locations below.
Anyone who has gone through cancer or who has walked alongside a family member on treatment knows how important and special it is to be able to celebrate the holidays with loved ones.
These keepsake ornaments help commemorate all that has been overcome by the survivors this year and may also serve as a special memorial gift for someone who has lost a family member to cancer in 2024” says Michelle Avila, Executive Director, Kern County Cancer Foundation.
