In the Fall of 2023, the Kern County Cancer Foundation received a grant for $20,000 to purchase 100 – $200 grocery cards for our newly developed “Feeding You Whole” program.
The program provides assistance for Kern County Cancer patients to access nutritious and sometimes specialty foods recommended by their doctors while on treatment. Thank you Albertsons/Vons/Pavilions for understanding our needs and helping during this critical time.

“Cancer treatment and care is more than the medicines and therapies we receive, it is the human touch of compassionate and kind caregivers, and the financial help we receive to help defray the cost of travel, as well as the help with buying nutritional food to eat. In other words, treatment of cancer takes a village of high tech and high human touch to be successful. Thanks to Albertsons/Vons and others who make up this caring village.”
