Go Red for Women Luncheon

The Kern County Cancer Foundation was invited to participate in the Go Red For Women Luncheon on March 8, 2024, organized by the American Heart Association.

The event took place at the Bakersfield Community College Campus where the foundation disseminated information about its financial assistance programs for local cancer patients in Kern County.

During the vital event, our very own Kern County Cancer Foundation’s Honorary Board Member Robin Magarin-Scott was appointed to being the new 2024 Go Red for Women Kern County Chairperson.

Robin serves as the ambassador for Go Red for Women, among other roles in the Kern County community, including that of KCHCC Chair Elect.

In 2012, local oncologists and community members rallied together to start Kern County Cancer Foundation to eliminate the financial burden brought on by a cancer diagnosis.
