Navigating Financial Hardship
We’re excited to launch “You Are Not Alone” (Spanish: “No Estás Sola”), a new animated video from San Diego State University and the Kern County Cancer Foundation that helps cancer patients navigate financial hardship, know where to turn for help, and understand the value of speaking up during treatment. Made possible by a generous donation from California Resources Corporation, the video is free for cancer facilities, organizations, and community members to use—just please credit SDSU/KCCF.
Eligibility
Financial Assistance Requirements
Patient must meet all of the criteria shown below to begin the first step in the application process:
If all requirements are met, an application may be obtained through our Patient Financial Navigator or through a Social Worker at your treatment facility.
Additional documents will be required such as paychecks, tax returns, bank statements, additional income, etc.
Our Patient Eligibility Committee reviews applications twice a month to determine financial needs of applicants.
Patients may be asked to reapply every six months.
